My name is Shane McKenna, I am 30 years old, I am a Gemini and I like True- Crime and Drama non- fiction novels.

Last Friday I received the book Justice in America by Cheney Mason and I am excited to read it.  Imperfect Justice by Florida States Attorney Jeff Ashton was great & Presumed Guilty by Jose Baez told some interesting things about the Casey Anthony case that weren't in the media already.

OJ Simpson's If I Did It has an impressive back story to it even before it was printed; the book is a hypothetical description of the murders IF OJ had done it; which he didn't right?  The book was originally due to publish under the name O. J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened.  But as part of the Guilty ruling in the Civil Case, the court awarded the rights to the book to the Goldman family to justify some of the (monetary) judgement against "the Juice."

The book was eventually published & released by the Goldman family under the new name If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer.  In the book OJ walked through the night of the Nichole Brown & Ronald Goldman murders and he said a 2nd man was with him named "Charlie" and then goes into detail on how the murders would have taken place IF he Did it.

Drew Peterson Exposed and Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Sergeant Drew Peterson."
by local Patch.com editor Joseph Hosey are great books for anyone who followed the Stacy Peterson case. The Lifetime movie The Drew Peterson Story: Untouchable was based off Joe's book Fatal Vows.

Drew Peterson Exposed was great, it listed the polygraph questions Drew took & interestingly 3 out of the 6 answers came back deceptive regarding his wife Stacy's disappearance.

1.  "Do you know the whereabouts of your wife Stacy?"
Answer: "No."
Results: deceptive.
2.  "Did you receive a phone call from your wife, Stacy, on the evening

of October 28th, 2007, telling you that she was leaving you?"
Answer:  Yes"
The result was deceptive.

3.  "On Sunday, October 28th 2007, did you last see your wife Stacy in
your home before going to bed after coming home from work?"
Answer was, "Yes."
And it was scored as a deceptive.

Imperfect Justice is a biography written by the Florida States Attorney Jeff Ashton & he shared behind the scenes details on his very last trial he tried before going into retirement, the famous Casey Anthony Trial.

He compared the trial to a competitive sports match and he explained how shocked he was at the "Not Guilty" verdict.  Ashton talked about the countless lies they caught Casey in, discovery of Caylee's body & the controversial behavior from the defense attorney Jose Baez.  While being interviewed in Tampa Bay they asked “Do you think there will ever be justice for Caylee?” Jeff Ashton responded “Not justice in the legal sense, but there’s always karma.”

Again, Imperfect Justice was a great book, easy to read and I own the Audio Book & the hard cover; if anyone followed the Casey Anthony case or are interested in Law, I suggest you check it out; you won't regret it.

DREW PETERSON:  Ex Illinois Cop

7 years ago in October 2007 I started following the Drew Peterson story, Drew was a Bolingbrook police officer who lived just 15 miles from me in a small town called Bollingbrook.

His 4th wife wound up missing while his previous wife before her drown in an empty bathtub.  I thought immediately either he was the most unlucky man in America or he was involved in both wives deaths.

"Eight days after his divorce from Savio (his 3rd wife) was finalized, Peterson, 49, married 19-year-old Stacy Cales in October 2003. One year later, Savio was found dead in her bathtub; the death was ruled an accident."
I don't know what it was about the Drew Peterson case that I found so intriguing, maybe it was the fact he was the sole suspect in his wife's missing person case yet he was scheduling himself on interview after interview on prime time TV.

He did an interview on The Today Show, Dateline, Dr. Phil, Larry King Live, & Good Morning America, Drew could not stay away from the TV yet he wondered why the media thought he was Guilty.  It was always about Him.

Lifetime aired a documentary outlining the Drew Peterson story in  January of 2012 and  surprisingly, I wasn't the only one who tuned in.
5.8 million people had their eyes glued to the TV set.  Rob Lowe played Drew and he looked uncannily similar to the convicted wife killer.

"Charming Chicago-area officer Drew Peterson (Rob Lowe) seemed virtually “untouchable” in more ways than one when it came to his womanizing ways, having been married three times before landing the eye and affection of Stacy Cales (Kaley Cuoco), a woman half his age."

OJ Simpson:  "The Juice"

The Bronco chase and the OJ "Not Guilty" verdict were the most memorable TV moments in the past 20 years.  I was 10 years old during the Chase and 11 during the "Not Guilty" verdict; I was in the 5th grade.

Being sentenced in the 2007 robbery case the judge said "The evidence in this case was Overwhelming."  Too bad the case in 94 didn't have the same findings.

After being found Guilty of armed robbery, at sentencing OJ addressed the court “I stand before you today, sorry, somewhat confused, I didn’t mean to hurt anybody and I didn’t mean to steal from anybody,“ he said. “I didn't know I was doing anything illegal. I thought I was confronting friends and retrieving my property.”  OJ, I believe you know what is right and wrong & I also believe in Karma, you are behind bars right now serving at least 9 years on a 33 year sentence.

The Chase:  June 17th 1994

"We, the jury...find the defendant, Orenthal James Simpson, Not Guilty."

OJ Simpson Guilty Verdict on 12 counts of Armed Robbery

"I didn't mean to hurt anybody and I didn't mean to steal from anybody."

CASEY MARIE ANTHONY:  We the jury find the defendant "Not Guilty" of 1st degree murder.
