The Days Are Long, But the Years Are Short

This year was a great year, we had some controversial moments but all in all a lot of positive things happened in 2014.  

• A Malaysian airplane vanished with 227 people on board and no debris has been found more than 3 months later.
• ALS ice bucket challenges were trends over the summer, videos went viral in an effort to raise money & awareness to ALS.  
• Lebron James decided to go back home and play again for the Cleveland Cavaliers; leaving Miami after four seasons & 4 straight trips to the NBA finals.
• We said goodbye to Robin Williams, Joan Rivers & Joe Cocker this year.
• ISIS, Ebola, Polar Vortex and Selfie were popular terms in 2014.
  

Some Great things happened in 2014 and I hope 2015 is equally as Great if not better.

• In January, I became an Uncle for the 2nd time.
  
• I was on the 6pm news twice.
  
• I signed up for the Gym after reading the book  The Happiness Project.
  
• Over the summer I volunteered as a camp counselor for abused and neglected kids through Royal Family Kids Camp.
• I took the Ice Bucket Challenge & donated $100 to ALS research.
  
• I lost a neighbor and good friend Ken Falkenberg, he taught me how short life is and how important it is to make the most of it.
  
• I sunk a 27 yard put in a Golf scramble at work.
  
• I played Tennis, Racketball, Softball, Basketball and I wall climbed with great friends.
  
• I went to 2 weddings in 2014; my cousin Krystina and Nick & my Uncle Rob and Carrie. 
• I signed up for Match.com, my Mom got Facebook and my Dad tweets more than I do.  
  
• I was Mario for Halloween.  
  
• I read some good books, Unstuck, The Paradox of Choice: why more is less & Tuesdays with Morrie.
  
• I went to a Cubs game and sat Roof Top for the 1st time ever.
• I was a teacher for a day through Jr. Achievement and it was a great experience.
